Ugandan teen awakens after heart repair procedures at NC Children's Hospital UNC's Dr. Elman Frantz checks on his patient, Patrick Kahuma, as Patrick awakens after having two heart repair procedures performed in the NC Children's Heart Center at UNC Hospitals. Patrick traveled from his home village in Uganda to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for the procedures, with help from several organizations, including UNC Project-Uganda, Embrace Uganda, Samaritan's Purse, Thrust Clothing and Gift of Life International.
